In 21st century people sometimes have an impression of being surrounded by publicity. With the aid of new inventions in technologies of communication, the advertisements have become omnipresent. Are they a part of our life or should they be limited or even totally banned?
There are moreover arguments against and for the presence of advertisements in our lives .
Firstly, people have their right to judge products themselves . For example nobody has to advertise bread and many times products which are really good are not those who are advertised.
Secondly publicity is frequently offensive. To mention the example of large billboards hanging in the streets or advertisements addressed to children who cannot judge them adequately.
On the top of all, advertisements are known to be misleading and not trustful . They dont inform people on the qualities of things, but they want to persuade them to buy products. To mention the advertisements of food who present it as natural when it contains more preservatives than natural ingredients.
On the other hand, the publicity is a kind of information. And people like being informed about qualities of products. What's more publicity sometimes provides a positive aesthetic factor. The products are more colourful and some adverts are works of art.
Finally the freedom of the market should be guaranteed. The publicity has been around since the trade has appeared. The markets in ancient cities were full of people advertising the goods they were selling.
To draw a conclusion the publicity has good and bad aspects.
